Tangled Christmas Lights Cupcakes
Iambaker.net recently posted this blog post for these great ‘Tangles Christmas Lights Cupcakes’ she made. The ‘messy’ look of the decorating means that even the most amateur baker can have a go at using decorating tips. The red cases, tree green frosting and sprinkles in primary colours perfectly capture the colours of Christmas. These would be great to make with children too!

Gingerbread Cupcakes
For something a little more rustic looking with its natural, earthy palette and heaps of Christmas flavour check out these Gingerbread Cupcakes by Tidymom.net. Two sweets in one go! The mini gingerbread men are very cute and the Gingerbread cupcakes with the cinnamon brown sugar frosting is currently making my mouth water. I can’t wait to have a go at making these! I also have an excuse to buy some new cookie cutters!
I couldn’t resist posting this next confection although it’s soooo not a cupcake! Swirled Peppermint Bark!

What a great Christmas present it would make! The recipe is here: Confections of a Foodie Bride
Let me know what you get to baking over the holiday period, I will be sure to report my confection successes (and failures)!
Great post! I’m making nutella cinnamon buns, Christmas tree shortbreads and lemon poppy sees muffins!
